No audition necessary
New members of any age and ability are welcome to join us at any time. We don’t hold any auditions, you can just turn up, try out a rehearsal and decide whether you want to join afterwards.
We encourage you to contact us first to find out where in the season we are. Nearer to a performance our rehearsals tend to be more focused and faster paced, whereas earlier in the season rehearsals are more relaxed and we take things slowly!
What to bring
All members are able to take away copies of music to practice, and we can help with easier parts where necessary.
We ask everybody to bring a music stand with them to rehearsal, as well as their flute of course!
What to expect
Usually we rehearse for about an hour, then take a break where we take it in turns to provide tea and biscuits before rehearsing for approximately another three quarters of an hour.
The last rehearsal of the year is usually an hour of playing followed by a Christmas social.
If you do decide to join us, a subscription is payable – this is currently £60 for a six month term, due in January and July each year.

Getting to the rehearsal venue
Rehearsals take place every other Monday, 7.45-9.45pm at Christ Church United Reform Church, 263 Barry Road, London, SE22 0JT.
Christ Church is the building with the Fair Trade shop at the front of it, not the bigger church next door.
To the left of the Fair Trade shop is a metal gate, go through this and down the passageway to the end to find us.
